“Behind your back” by Tito Jara H. One of the most-watched feature films in Ecuadorian cinema. It has screened at a dozen festivals, including the International Festival of New Latin American Cinema in Havana, Trieste, and Genoa (where it won the Audience Award in the festival’s Ecuadorian film showcase), as well as international film festivals in places as diverse as India, South Africa, Canada, China, and Australia, among many others.
“A Blond Boy” by Carolina Hernández, a feature film that premiered at the International Festival of New Latin American Cinema in Havana, will have its commercial release in 2026. Audience Award and Honorable Mention from the jury at the Festival de las Alturas in Argentina. Winner of the ICCA Production Fund, a co-production of the Ibermedia Program and DAFO of the Peruvian Ministry of Culture, the film has also participated in Talents BAFICI / Berlinale, Mica Meetings of the Mexican Ministry of Culture, Bolivia Lab, and the Film Project Development Course of the Carolina Foundation, among others.
“The Invention of Soledad” by Ana Cristina Franco won the Silver Column Award for Best Ibero-American Short Film at the 48th Huelva Film Festival. The film has received six awards at some twenty international film festivals and was part of the “Women in Short Film” program at the Guadalajara Film Festival.

“Epicenter” by Tito Jara H. Currently in development, the film has been selected for the CNC-Andean Countries Coproduction Workshop at the Cannes Film Festival, won the Cncine Project Development Category and the Ibermedia Program Project Development Category, and has been selected for the Cinefilia Screenwriting Lab in Medellín, Colombia. It has also been selected by CNCine to represent Ecuador at the Marché du Film at the Cannes Film Festival.
“The Village”, a project in development by Carlos Tribiño Mamby, is a Colombian genre feature film currently in pre-production. It won the Co-Development category of the Ibermedia Program, is part of the EAVE Slate at When East Meets West, and has been selected for the Labguion Cinefilia.
“Micaela,” a project currently in development, is the recipient of the DAFO Production Grants from the Peruvian Ministry of Culture and the winner of the Coral Award for Best unpublished script, at the Festival of New Latin American Cinema in Havana. It has been selected for the Locarno Open Doors, the CineQuaNon Lab, and the Fundación Carolina's Ibero-American Project Development Course.
